Advice for Bath students

The Student Community Partnership (SCP) is made up of Bath & North East Somerset Council and Student and Staff representatives from the University of Bath and Bath Spa University.

It provides a forum for liaison between the Universities, their Students’ Unions and the Council on matters relating to students and the local community. This includes accommodation advice, transport, welfare, community relations, community safety and environmental issues.

Madison Oakley student accommodation is released in December of any year, with viewings starting in January. We advertise all our student properties via our local office in Moorland Rd, via Facebook and Twitter or on Zoopla and Primelocation. We continue to release student properties throughout the year so, if you miss the first rush, don’t worry as we let properties all the way up to August. However, to have the best choice of location and property, our advice is you should always start looking early!

If you have a group together, try to consider what is most important to you all BEFORE looking at properties. Is location the most important factor? How about size of bedrooms or distance to the shops? How far to the bus would you walk? Why not make up a checklist of your top 5 requirements and use that to filter out properties from your search.

Studentpad properties are released in February and there is always a huge rush of freshers looking via this website.
